MISSION STATEMENT:

Each OIKOSMEN member is committed in preserving the unity and love for their family.

  WHAT OIKOSMEN BELIEVES?

We believe that:

1. We believe that family is instituted by God

2. We believe that family, though the smallest unit of society, is vital to it’s progress and development.

3. We believe that the family that prays together stays together.

4. We believe that the father is God-appointed head of the family, and the stability of his family rests on his shoulder.

5. We believe that the family is a powerful unit that will bring changes in the society, city, and country.

  VISION STATEMENT:

To mobilize and train men to build a strong family towards building a strong nation.

  WHAT IS OIKOS?

OIKOS is the Greek word for “family.” It means “household” and includes the parents, the children and everyone in their house. There is a working system of stewardship in every family. Each one has a role to fill in. No one's being left out. Everyone is important.

OIKOSMEN follows these same principles. Men, as the head of the family, should be equipped with leadership skills that he needs in order to fulfill his duties and responsibilities. Most of the times, we leave the family affairs to the mother. Not to undermine their respective roles, but fathers should be as responsible as the mothers, if not more responsible.

The accountability rests on our shoulders. We realize this when we face domestic problems. What should you do? Where will you go? Where can you run for help?

  HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER?

If you are:

-- Male, 30 years old and above.

-- Must agree and support fully the Vision and Mission Statement of Oikos as stipulated above.

-- Willing to pay annual membership fee of P100.
